Expert Is In: Orchid Collections and Care

Meet an orchid expert from Smithsonian Gardens or the United States Botanic Garden and learn more about this incredible plant family! This week Smithsonian Gardens Living Collections Manager Sarah Hedean will share more about the orchid collections on display and how you can collect and care for your own orchid collection! Drop in at any time during the program and be sure to bring your orchid questions.


This program is offered in conjunction with the exhibition More Than a Flower: The Connective Power of Orchids at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, open during museum hours through April 26, 2026.
