Music from the Hearts of America - Brian Gaffney with Brendan’s Voyage

View Event Details

The music of Brendan’s Voyage is rooted in the “people’s history”—songs born in cottages, carried across the Atlantic, and kept alive in the social halls and pubs of American cities. Brian Gaffney uses storytelling to bridge the gap between ancient melodies and the modern Irish American experience. Come hear songs that tell the story of Irish history, exploring the immigrant journey, the hardship and resilience that came with fighting the Great Famine and the struggle for independence. Songs may include: “Rosie’s,” “Girl in My Dreams,” and “Song from Home.”
