Transportation Week: Automobiles

Join the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History for Transportation Week, Monday, April 27, to Sunday, May 3, as we celebrate, reflect, and consider the future of transportation. 
 
From early cars to lowriders, explore how the automobile reshaped American life through spotlight tours, hands-on docent carts, and curator conversations in America on the Move and the Low Rider exhibition.  
 
Activities:    

  • 10:30 a.m.–noon: Docent-led spotlight tours and hands-on carts (America on the Move)  
  • 2:00–3:00 p.m.: Meet the Expert with museum curators (America on the Move)  
  • 2:00–3:00 p.m.: Meet the Expert with museum curators (Corazón y vida: Lowriding Culture)
