Transportation Week: Bicycles

Join the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History for Transportation Week, Monday, April 27, to Sunday, May 3, as we celebrate, reflect, and consider the future of transportation. 
  
Celebrate the bicycle as a tool for freedom, recreation, and expression with tours, performances, and conversations throughout the day.

Activities:   

  • 10:30 a.m.–noon: Docent-led spotlight tours and hands-on carts (America on the Move)  
  • 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.: Wheelwoman performance (1 West)  
  • 1:00–3:00 p.m.: Educator Spotlight on lowrider bicycles (Corazón y vida: Lowriding Culture)  
  • 2:00–3:00 p.m.: Meet the Expert with museum curators (America on the Move)  
  • Transportation-themed activities (Spark!Lab)
