Open Studio: Flower Frenzy
This April, creativity is in full bloom every Saturday at Open Studio! Each week, we’ll look at nature-inspired artworks by artists such as Alexander Calder, Giacomo Balla, Joseph Cornell, and more.
Join us this Saturday as we draw inspiration from Giacomo Balla’s Futurist Flowers (1918-1925). We’ll be joined by teaching artist Karen Brown from Inspired Child, who will help us create our visions of the future and construct our own 3D botanical sculptures. We’ll experiment with 2D materials (construction paper, cardboard) and bright spring colors.
The teaching artist will be in Art School from 10 AM to 1 PM.
Meet in Art School on the Museum’s Lower Level.
