Art & Me | Family Workshop: Tea Time

View Event Details

In this hands‑on workshop, kids ages 3–8 and their caregivers explore Japanese tea traditions, make decaf matcha, and learn how we take care of tea utensils. First, families take a guided tour of Reasons to Gather: Japanese Tea Practice Unwrapped. Then art conservators show how we treat tea bowls used in gatherings and compare them to the ones we display. Kids then create a decorative tea bowl to take home.
