Roots & Wings: Honoring Mother Figures, Caregivers, and Memory

Roots & Wings is an intergenerational, family-friendly gathering that honors mother figures and caregivers—whether through birth, guidance, protection, mentorship, or unconditional love. Recognizing that Mother’s Day can hold many emotions, this program welcomes all experiences celebrating those who nurtured us, remembering those we miss, and acknowledging the many forms of caregiving. Through art, storytelling, and shared traditions. This public program invites participants to explore how caregiving, creativity, and cultural traditions are passed down across generations. Through hands-on artmaking, oral history, and community reflection, families will celebrate the legacies that shape who we are and who we become. This program is designed for all ages and for multigeneration participation.
