AI and the Humanities

The words “Artificial Intelligence” now appear thousands of times per day. AI affects the global economy, jobs, medicine, national security, and more. Public humanities scholar Clay Jenkinson examines questions arising at the intersection of the humanities and AI: Will it revive engagement with great books or diminish it? How will schools adapt to the AI revolution? Using Hamlet, The Odyssey, and Crime and Punishment, Jenkinson shows how AI can deepen students’ engagement with literature.
