At the National Air and Space Museum, we’ve been obsessed with Star Trek and its fans since before we even opened to the public in 1976. As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the franchise, we're excited to host a live taping of the Museum’s podcast, AirSpace, about the history and cultural impact of Trek and its fans. Costumes welcome!

AirSpace podcast hosts Matt Shindell and Emily Martin will be joined by Museum curator and Trek expert Margaret Weitekamp, alongside very special guest Jonathan Del Arco, known for his role as Hugh on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard. 

Visit the Museum's galleries from 6-7pm, then watch our episode live from 7-8:15pm. 

Your registration includes:

  • After-hours access to some of the Museum's exhibitions, including the studio model of the Starship Enterprise used in production of the Original Series (on display in Milestones of Flight) 
  • Access to the live podcast taping
  • Pop-up stargazing outside the Museum’s Independence Avenue exit (weather permitting)
