Cultivating Curiosity with Young Children Through Objects| Cultivating Learning

Join Julia Smith from the National Zoo’s Get a Head Start with the Smithsonian program to explore how hands-on experiences with historical, artistic, and everyday objects can spark young children’s curiosity and deepen their learning. We will discuss how object-based learning and concrete experiences are intrinsically connected to the way young children learn about the world. You’ll leave with ideas and techniques for how to deepen the impact of common activities and classroom experiences by integrating hands-on learning experiences with objects.
