Birmingham Civil Rights Institute

The words Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. While the rest of the font is in black, the words civil rights are in brown and are slightly tilted.

The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, opened in 1992, presents an in-depth look at the Civil Rights Movement through time, from before the movement's inception through today’s international struggle for universal human rights. The archives of the Institute serve as a national resource for educators and researchers. The Institute hosted the Smithsonian traveling exhibition Let Your Motto Be Resistance: African American Portraits. It also partnered with the National Museum of American History to energize history teaching through the professional development program, Let's Do History and a National Youth Summit on Freedom Riders.
