Tellus Science Museum

The Tellus Science Museum encompasses four main galleries, a 120-seat digital planetarium, and an observatory with a state-of-the-art, 20-inch telescope. Through its status as a Smithsonian Affiliate, the museum currently has three Apollo artifacts on loan from the National Air and Space Museum. The museum presented guest lecturers such as astronaut Al Worden and Smithsonian scholars like Jeffrey Post and Eric Long. In addition, it hosted the traveling exhibition Jeweled Objects of Desire from the Smithsonian Institution, featuring 43 minerals and gems from the National Museum of Natural History. In its exhibit on the Etowah Indian Mounds, the Museum displays more than 50 artifacts from the National Museum of Natural History.
