The Brown

The Museum of Arts and Sciences holds collections of Cuban art, Chinese art, American fine and decorative arts from the period 1640 - 1920, and African cultural and archaeological objects representing the prehistory of Florida, with the skeleton of a 13-foot tall, 130,000year-old giant sloth as a highlight.  The museum continues to host the annual Septembers with the Smithsonian celebration, which features the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and presentations by Smithsonian scholars.
