The USS Hornet - Sea, Air and Space Museum preserves and honors the legacy of the USS Hornet, a decommissioned United States Navy Aircraft Carrier and national historic landmark. The museum's exhibitions explore the Hornet's role in military history and the space program. Currently on display from the National Air and Space Museum is the Apollo Block I Command Module which was flown on August 25, 1966 to verify structural integrity in support of future missions.
