Whatcom Museum

The Whatcom Museum is committed to forging community partnerships and providing access to programming related to art, history, and nature. The museum explores the changing cultural, natural, and historical landscapes; it encourages and ultimately supports preservation of regional cultural heritage. Since it became a Smithsonian Affiliate in 2008, the Whatcom Museum has hosted 1934: A New Deal for Artists, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian American Art Museum and has collaborated with the Smithsonian staff to offer public programs.
